HOUSTON, TX - A lawsuit was filed against a company that runs a group home after one of their employees, Patricia Ifunanya-Okafor was killed by a resident with a brick/cinderblock back in December 2022 in the 7900 block of Dawnridge.

According to court documents that were filed on Friday in Harris County District Court:

"Charles Lamberth, a resident/patient at Defendant's group home, bludgeoned Patricia to death with a brick/cinderblock. But, she did not die instantly. She remained on life-support for several days until she finally succumbed to these horribly violent injuries, leaving her three children as orphans."

The court documents also allege that the group home was well aware of Lamberth's violent criminal history and that they should have never allowed him to stay at the group home.

The case, styled Chidima Ifeanyi-Okafor and Chidera Blessing Ifeanyi-Okafor, individually and as next friend of KIO, a minor, vs. Citi Health Group, Inc., Justina Orji, and Daniel Ogwuegbu Orji and is filed in Harris County District Court under Case No. 202437771- 7s
