National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) helps to locate missing children
Since July 1, 2024, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), 174 children have been reported missing in the U.S. Since January 1, 2024, there was a total of 1,445 reported missing in the country.
Cases of missing children in Missouri
Not all missing children are runaways. Missouri law also defines a runaway as a missing child. (§ 43.400, RSMo 2023.) I previously reported on the missing children as of June 1, 2024. Two of the children previously listed, Mikylee Shotts and Darrion Dickerson, no longer have posters on the NCMEC website, so it's presumed their cases were resolved since their posters were removed.
The below list includes previously informed names of missing children since June 1, 2024, additional names of missing children since June 2024 that were later included, and those since July 1, 2024. If you click on their names, you can view their respective posters.
