LL Flooring, formerly Lumber Liquidators, recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The website for the LL Flooring store location at 2618 Northeast Vivion Road in Kansas City, Missouri indicates the following:

This LL Flooring store location will be closing soon. Shop in store for liquidation deals. All sales final. (Source.)

Filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy will allow the company to reorganize. There is also a Missouri store at 300 Northeast 291 Highway in Lee's Summit. This store does not have the above notation on its website.

It's been reported that 94 stores across the U.S. will be closed. By reducing the number of stores, filing Chapter 11 will provide time for the business to find a buyer.

With customers not spending as much on non-essential items like flooring and furniture, this has put some companies out of business. You can visit here for a list of closing in other states.

Two other Missouri LL Flooring stores to close include the following:

    • 17724 Chesterfield Airport Road, Chesterfield, MO 63005
    • 732 S. Range Line Road, Suite D, Joplin, MO 64801
