The Museum of Shadows opened in 2016. It's said to be one of the most haunted museums in the world. The museum was founded by Nate Raterman who states he has had paranormal experiences.

The museum originally opened in Elmwood, Nebraska and nine months later moved to Plattsmouth. It eventually moved to Omaha because it needed more space.

Interestingly, people from around the world send items to the museum that are allegedly haunted. This museum offers two-hour ghost hunts and you're invited to either bring your own paranormal equipment or rent equipment on site.

The museum is said to have thousands of haunted artifacts. For images, visit the museum's Facebook page. The museum is located in a four-story building on two of its floors.

Museum of Shadows is located at 1110 Douglas Street in Omaha, Nebraska. Hours of operation are 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Wednesdays through Sundays. Your tour of the museum is self-guided. Admission fee is $20 per person.

This venue indicates all ages are welcome, but it's recommended only mature audiences attend. According to an Instagram post in August 2024, a second location is expected to open in Pensacola, Florida.

This museum is listed on the U.S. Ghost Adventures website under ghost tours.
