2 top-rated steakhouses in Springfield, Missouri

Steak lovers in Springfield, Missouri, what follows are four of the top-rated steak houses in your city. Our palates are not the same, but we have an idea of what makes a steak taste great. Nothing beats a perfectly cooked steak.

The cut of meat, the seasoning, the cooking technique, and lastly, letting the steak rest so all its juices continue to flavor the meat. When you're looking for a steak, look for restaurants that can stand on their own. I steer from chain restaurants.

    Jimm's Steakhouse & Pub

This restaurant has a 4.5 rating out of 1k+ reviews on Tripadvisor. Jimm's has a 4.0 rating out of 340+ reviews on Yelp. Steakhouse & Pub is at 1935 South Glenstone in Springfield.

The prime rib is some of the best we've had in years. We loved the salad bar and all of the options available. We couldn't resist desert - creme brulee and brownie with ice cream. (Source.)

    What makes a good steak?

Making a good steak isn't just about putting meat on the grill. It involves attention to detail.

The marbling found in prime cuts like ribeye, filet mignon, or a New York strip enhances the taste and makes the cut so juicy. Those cuts of meat are known for their tenderness. You want to indulge in slow motion when it's so good.

A steak doesn't need a lot of seasoning because you don't want to cover the taste of the meat. Salt and pepper are enough.

Whether steak is grilled or pan-seared, getting the perfect doneness is important, especially when you want to please a restaurant customer. The medium-rare steak should have a warm pink center but still maintain its seared crust to keep all the juices inside.

Once you find your favorite steak house, the one that knows how to cook a good steak, you'll want to return again and again.

    Thanks for reading and sharing.
