Police respond to shooting in Clairton 00:50

CLAIRTON, Pa. (KDKA) — One person was shot in Clairton on Thursday afternoon.

Police responded to Marion Circle at around 4 p.m. after the shots were fired near a crowd. A source told KDKA-TV that it was "an incredible amount of rounds fired." Witnesses said they heard 35 gunshots, and at least one window of a vehicle was shot out.

One man was shot in the leg. He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

Police said the initial investigation found the injured man and two additional men engaged in a shootout.

"At this time, all three individuals are accounted for and detectives will work with the district attorney's office to determine appropriate charges," police said in a news release.

Police are investigating.
