A trendy DC-based restaurant brand is expanding for the first time into Northern Virginia. It’s called Immigrant Food and it’s coming to Ballston over in Arlington. Immigrant Food already has three locations in Washington. Now, it’s latest restaurant will open this Tuesday, July 23 at 4245 North Fairfax Drive. Fire burns Atwater Soccer Complex in Hopewell
Emergency services responded to a structure fire at the Atwater Soccer Complex in Hopewell on Sunday night. According to an official Facebook post from the City of Hopewell Professional Firefighters Association, units were originally dispatched to the complex on the 200 block of Atwater Road for a trash can fire at around 11 p.m. on July 14. While en route, the call was upgraded to a structure fire with the concession stand and bathrooms burning.

Wakefield, VA – Showers and isolated thunderstorms are moving across Virginia today, with additional storms expected later. Flash flooding is possible across much of the area, particularly central and eastern parts, as well as northeast North Carolina. The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for most areas along and east of Interstate 95, including Richmond Metro and Hampton Roads.
