Raff and Friends stays open at Eastern Hills Mall

Clarence, N.Y. (WBEN) - As Eastern Hill Mall's owner Uniland continues transforming the interior into a town center, one store has been able to relocate to an exterior entrance and remain open.

Kim Nelson has been able to relocate her Raff and Friends toy store from an interior only entrance to an exterior one behind Duff's.

"The location became available, and I signed the contract the day I got the contract and got to work on it," said Nelson with WBEN.

The reason Nelson wanted to stay was to stay close to her customer base.

"I have been in this mall for 18 years and there's a lot of wonderful people in this area, and I wanted to be close so they could continue shopping at the store," Nelson said.

She adds everyone is excited about the new store location.

"They're surprised I got the entire store in here, but a lot of happy people and so we are here and we're here for years to come. We're just looking forward to seeing all the smiling faces coming back to," Nelson said.

Nelson says the store will be open each day except Monday.
