Kentucky, Indiana Counties on Alert for Severe Thunderstorms Until 7 PM
Louisville, KY – A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for parts of northern and northeastern Kentucky until 7 p.m. today. According to the US National Weather Service Wilmington, OH, the watch encompasses major cities including Louisville, Lexington, and Elizabethtown. Several counties in southern Indiana, such as Clark, Floyd, and Harrison, are also under the watch. The advisory warns of potential tornadoes, isolated hail up to quarter size, and scattered wind gusts reaching up to 70 mph.
Traffic Stop Leads To Dealing In Methamphetamine Arrests
Clark County – June 24, 2024: A traffic stop on I-65 lead to the arrest of two Clark County women on felony drug charges. Around 7pm on Sunday, Trooper Clay Boley with the Indiana State Police Post Sellersburg’s All Crimes Policing Team conducted a traffic stop on a green Ford Ranger after he witnessed the driver fail to signal multiple lane changes. The vehicle came to a stop on I-65 South at the 3.2 Mile Marker in Clark County and the driver was identified as 63-year-old Sharon L. Mclain of Jeffersonville. The passenger was identified as 48-year-old Tara G. Edwards of Clarksville.
