Coroner releases ID of man killed by park ranger at Valley of Fire
Authorities have released the identity of a man killed by a ranger at Valley of Fire State Park last week. Rafael Rodriguez-Aguayo, 38, of Las Vegas, died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to Stephanie Wheatley, a spokesperson for the Clark County coroner’s office. The manner of death was listed as homicide.
Northwest Las Vegas shooting victim identified
The Clark County coroner’s office has identified a man shot to death July 12 in a northwest Las Vegas residence as 45-year old Christopher Lippincott. A coroner’s office report said Lippincott died of multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene of the shooting in the 4800 block of North Tioga Way, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Jason Johansson said in a news briefing Friday morning.

Clark County partnered with organization “Clean the World” to provide three sites a week for the unhoused to take a shower and get free toiletries. LAS VEGAS — Clark County should be preparing for declining birth rates and decreased immigration now, as the nation’s population is expected to peak in less than 60 years. “We’re projecting that the population is going to peak in 2080 as a result of net fertility and immigration,” U.S. Census Bureau Director Robert Santos said in a recent interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “So when you put those two together, we are going to grow until 2080 and then it is going to decline through to the end of our projections in 2100.”
Storms popping up in southwest Las Vegas, flash flood warning near Jean
Monsoon clouds in the southwest valley and localized flash flooding further southwest of Las Vegas were signs of perhaps a wet afternoon in Las Vegas.
