    ALJ's Justin Zdeb Named Quad County All-Star Game MVP

    ALJ's Justin Zdeb was named Union County All-Star MVP.

    CLARK, NJ — Arthur L. Johnson (ALJ) High School's Justin Zdeb just represented Clark at the Quad County Underclassman All-Star Game this past Friday, June 28. He was named the MVP for Union County.

    Zdeb, a rising junior, served as ALJ's starting catcher during the spring season, batting .373.

    Saturday's All-Star game took place at North Brunswick Community Park, pitting Union County against Essex.

    The Union County team controlled the nine-inning game, emerging victorious over Essex, 22-9.

    Zdeb had a formidable performance as the team's starting catcher, going 3-for-4 with five RBIs and two runs scored.

    Center fielder Will Mahala, a rising senior at Seton Hall Prep, was named MVP for the Essex County team.
