Torrential Monsoon Rains, Flooding Possible In SE Wyoming
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says torrential rains leading to flooding are possible in southeast Wyoming today and especially on Saturday [July 27]. The agency posted the following on its website: brief return of monsoon moisture is expected on Friday and Saturday. This will bring scattered to numerous storms to the area during the afternoon and evening. Torrential rains could exist in these storms which could lead to possible flooding concerns on both days.

Cool front brings dip in temps that won’t last long
GILLETTE, Wyo. — One day after the mercury touched 102 degrees, things will be quite a bit cooler. The dangerously high temperatures on Thursday will cool to a much more tolerable 84 degrees today, according to the National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota. That’s courtesy of a weak cool front that’s blanketed the region. Today will also come with a 20% chance for thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Skies otherwise will be mostly sunny, and winds will come from the northwest at 9–15 mph.
