Athens-Clarke County Welcomes Niki Jones as Acting Manager Starting July 13
Athens-Clarke County has announced Niki Jones as its Acting Manager beginning July 13, following Manager Blaine Williams' resignation, slated for July 12. Announced during a Special Called Session on Friday, by Mayor Kelly Girtz, Jones will step into the role, carrying the managerial responsibilities until a final candidate is selected through a nationwide recruitment process to permanently fill the position.

Niki Jones Named ACCGov Acting Manager Beginning July 13th
During a Special Called Session on Friday, June 14, Mayor Kelly Girtz named Niki Jones Acting Manager for the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government (ACCGov) beginning July 13. The appointment follows the resignation of Manager Blaine Williams, whose last day in the position is July 12. The Acting Manager will assume the duties of the Manager until a permanent Manager is named to fill the position after a national search.
