LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Tippecanoe County will see a new animal shelter open to the public after the Labor Day weekend. The Humane Society for Greater Lafayette will open Tuesday, just over a year after the groundbreaking ceremony. The 17,000-square-foot Humane Society, 3150 Sagamore Parkway in Lafayette, will have the capacity to hold 68 dogs and more than 160 cats. Another room is set aside for other small animals. Tippecanoe County Coroner's Office looking for Steven Pattison's next of kin
LAFAYETTE, Ind. ― Steven Pattison died Thursday, and the Tippecanoe County Coroner's Office needs help locating his next of kin. Pattison was 62 and weighed about 187 pounds. He stood about 5-feet, 10-inches tall and lived in Tippecanoe County, according to the coroner's office. Anyone who might know Pattison's next of kin is asked to call the coroner's office at 765-420-7607. ‘Drive sober or get pulled over’: ISP increasing patrol over Labor Day holiday weekend
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The Indiana State Police (ISP) Fort Wayne Post reminds drivers that it is increasing patrol over the Labor Day holiday weekend. The increased patrol is part of ISP’s two-week impaired driving campaign which began mid-August and wraps up on Labor Day. The campaign’s goal is to ‘crack down on those driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs’.
