    As Americans across the nation processed an assassination attempt on former president and current GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, we spoke to people in the lohud region. At Flywheel Park in Piermont, Jack Collins told our reporters that today’s political atmosphere felt similar to the tension of the late '60s. “And I just hope that all Americans join (in on) condemning this act of violence, no matter what your political bent is," the Montebello resident said.
