The Dell Music Center started the month of August off ‘grown and sexy’ last night (Aug. 1) as KEM came to Philadelphia to give a performance for the ages.

The night started off with renown musician Mike Phillips. Mike Phillips is one of the most electrifying instrumentalists today and is the first musician signed by Michael Jordan to the Nike Jordan Brand, home of the Air Jordan. Mike is the only musician in the world to have recorded and toured with the legendary “Big Three” of American soul and pop music: Michael Jackson, Prince, and Stevie Wonder, not only as a member of the band, but as a featured soloist.

Phillips pleased the crowd with a couple musical renditions before coming into the crowd and giving a personal performance to one lucky lady.

Next on stage, was the amazing Maysa. With over three decades in the entertainment industry, Maysa had plenty of music to move the crowd at the Dell. She performed music from her latest project ‘Music for your soul’ and took it back to her Incognito days, performing ‘Deep Waters’.

Brian Culbertson came to the stage with his fingers on fire, as he played his keyboard piano to perfection. He also tooted his horn (literally) pulling out his trombone, and even gave us some vocals, jumping behind the mic to give us live renditions, and paying homage to Philadelphia legends such as Gamble and Huff.

Kem came to center stage to a roaring Philly crowd, who were waiting for his sensual selections all night. Kem was sure to serenade the ladies, performing his hits ‘Share my life’, ‘Promise to love’, and ‘Love calls’. Kem tried to get the fellas in the audience involved as well. In honor of national girlfriend day, Kem called the fellas to sing to their ladies as he helped lead them.

He then brought out Brian Culbertson for a trombone solo during one of his songs, and performed his most notable song ‘I can’t stop loving you’ before closing the show.
