Lady B’s annual basement party at the Dell Music Center did not disappoint! There were so many talented acts and appearances on the stage last night (Aug. 25), we could have stayed ’til 3am for an encore from each artist!

The night started off with ___ who took the stage blazing with his fast flow and impeccable lyrics. Next was Adina Howard, coming to the stage singing “T-Shirt and Panties”, all the fellas wished they would’ve been able to see Adina in her boudoir. After serenading the fellas, she turned to the ladies in the crowd, wondering if she had a “Freak Like Me” in the audience.

After her set, Special took the stage with the utmost confidence when he performed “I’m the Magnificent”. And you know before he left, he had to let Philadelphia know “I got it made”.

Kurtis Blow put on a performance for the ages, pulling out all his classics including “The Breaks”, “Hard Times”, “If I ruled the world”, and “Basketball”.

You know when Breakwater came out, they had to “Release the Beast” in Philly. Lady B went bananas when they sang “ Say You Love Me Girl”. It looked like B was in her own world getting a personal show from Breakwater.

Rob Base brought the “joy and pain” to Philly when he hit the stage. He hyped us up with his hit “It takes two”, and before he left, he had “Turn it out” as we screamed ‘Go Base!’

Experience Unlimited ( EU) came to Philly yearning for a “ Taste of Your Love”. They surely got what they were looking for, hitting the stage accompanied by Sugar Bear and performing their hit “Da Butt” Treach was the next act to perform at the Basement Party. Best known as the lead rapper of the hip hop group Naughty by Nature, Treach got the crowd going with his group hits “O.P.P.” and “Hip-Hop Hooray” after paying tribute to legendary figures in the hip-hop history, including Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G. https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=2jT1FT_0vAQx6nY00

Last, but certainly not least, was the ever so talented Doug E. Fresh. A personal friend of Lady B, Doug E. Fresh seemed like his performance was a favor, as we’re sure we got more than what we paid for! Doug E. Fresh came out  to “Teach me how to Dougie” as he hit his moves and showed Philly how it was really done! And you know it wouldn’t be a Doug E. Fresh show if he didn’t perform “The Show”.

Check out everything you might’ve missed at the Lady B Basement Party below!
