    Cheesy Spaghetti Pie: A Delicious Twist on Lasagna

    Here is an easy weeknight or weekend meal everyone loves. Spaghetti pie has just about all the characteristics and ingredients of lasagna made in a casserole with spaghetti.

    The kids will love this one and young at heart. It is pure comfort food at its finest!



    Shopping List:

    • 16 ounces spaghetti
    • 16 ounces of ground sirloin or chuck
    • 3 tablespoons finely minced onion
    • 3 cloves finely minced garlic
    • 1 tablespoon basil and oregano mixed
    • 2 1/2 cups meat sauce jarred
    • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese whole milk ( or more if you love cheese)
    • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
    • 3 eggs
    • 1 cup grated Parmesan, Pecorino Romano blended cheese
    • 1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese and provolone blended


    Directions:


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a springform pan and set it aside.
    2. Cook the pasta al dente to package instructions drain and set it aside.
    3. Add the ricotta to a bowl with grated cheese, parsley, eggs, salt, and pepper.
    4. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a frying pan and saute the beef with onions, minced garlic basil, oregano salt, and pepper to taste.
    5. Stir in the sauce.
    6. Toss the pasta with the meat mixture.
    7. Layer the cheese, and more pasta, then end with cheese on top.
    8. Bake for 30 minutes and let sit 5 minutes before serving.
