Easy and delicious little donut holes chuck full of diced apples. These are easy breezy to make and they are a perfect dessert treat.

The flavor of these and the smell of frying bring back fond memories of childhood. Mom would make these on the weekend and it was the best dessert breakfast we looked forward to.

Below in this recipe, you'll find simple ingredients usually found in your pantry.

Roll them in a cinnamon sugar mixture, or powdered sugar, or if you love icing dip them in powdered sugar and water sweet glaze.

Shopping List:

• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/3 cup granulated sugar
• 2 tablespoons brown sugar packed
• 1 teaspoon baking powder salt pinch
• 2 teaspoons cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 tablespoon unsalted butter melted
• 1 egg slightly beaten 1/3 cup + 2 tablespoons milk
• 1 1/2 cups finely diced apples we like Mcintosh

Directions:

1. Place the flour in a bowl then add the sugars baking powder, salt, and cinnamon whisking together.
2. Make a swirl effect in the center of the flour mixture and add the milk, butter egg, and vanilla.
3. Stir just until evenly combined.
4. Fold in the chopped diced apples.
5. Heat the oil (should be a deep saucepan).
6. Drop by tablespoonful or if you have a melon ball scoop it will make them evenly round.
7. These should fry until they are golden brown.
8. Stirring around to ensure a uniform color.
9. Drain on paper towels.
10. Roll into powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar or make a thin powdered sugar and water icing to dip them in.
