In the 1960s this was a very popular dessert cake called "dump cake" and is making quite a comeback because it's so simple for a busy life schedule.

The cake is perfect for unexpected company as it has 3 ingredients you can always keep on hand and a delicious dessert with coffee, tea, or milk.

This wonderful combination of flavors can be served warm or cold and terrific with a dollop of freshly whipped cream to make it just a little more special.

The flavors of this dump cake can be different every time you make it just by changing the fruit and cake mixes.

Canned fruits or pie filling like cherry apple, peach, strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry are all wonderful flavors to change this dessert every time you make it!

Don't be afraid to try any cake mixes and fruit combinations.

Cherry pie filling and a chocolate cake mix is a family favorite.

The kids love funfetti cake mix with apple pie filling together for a festive fall dessert.
