    Quick and Addictive Pancake Mix Funnel Cake Bites

    Fun at the summer carnivals and festivals you'll always find those large swirly snowy sugared large cakes that are deep fried delicious!

    Our funnel cake bites took a shortcut and were made with pancake batter into small bite-sized cakes that are so addicting.

    I love the ease of this recipe; they can be made quickly without any fussy tools in much less time.

    Next time you think you're craving funnel cakes, try these easy pancake mix bites.

    We rolled them in powdered sugar, and cinnamon sugar and left some plain.

    We add them to a paper bag for a fun little treat for the kids to show off to their friends and share these easy mini delicious funnel cake bites with.

    Shopping List:

    • 1 1/2 cups of just add water pancake mix
    • 3/4 cup water or 2 % milk
    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla, lemon, or orange extract
    • powdered sugar for garnishing or warmed hot fudge or caramel sauce for dipping them in

    Directions:

    1. Heat the oil to 375 degrees
    2. While the oil is heating mix the batter until evenly blended.
    3. Drop by teaspoons into the hot oil and fry until golden turning on each side to fry evenly.
    4. Place on paper towels as they are completed cooking to drain oil
    5. Dust with powdered sugar, and cinnamon sugar, or serve with heated hot fudge or caramel for dipping.

    Serving Suggestions:

    • cinnamon and sugar mixture
    • powdered sugar
    • warmed caramel to dip them in
    • warmed hot fudge to dip them in
    • add colorful sprinkles to the batter
    • dip them in a powdered sugar and water glaze
    • add mini chocolate chips to the batter
    • add raisins to the batter
    • add chopped cherries to the batter
    • add grated orange zest or lemon zest to the batter
    • try adding an extract you like to the batter around 1 teaspoon for a different flavor everytime you make them
