    Here is an easy recipe for lemon crinkle cookies using a doctored cake! These cookies are super delicious and amaze you with the different flavors you can make using a cake mix. With some folks having a busy lifestyle, there is no time for measuring ingredients and these cookies will be a great addition to your recipe collections. There are so many mix-in variations you can even make a new cookie every time with any flavor.

    In addition to being easy any brandcake mix works! Whether you get a generic brand or that special cake mix you prefer, these will be great. Today we are trying a lemon cake mix and they were delicious! Great for parties, gift-giving, and certainly those cookie exchange get-togethers during the Christmas holiday. You can make all different flavors in half the time baking all from scratch!

    Doctored Cake Mixes are a fun easy treat and perfect for teaching children to bake and help in the kitchen for a fun family project. During any holiday baking season, these can be also sprinkled with coordinating colorful candied sprinkles to make the theme a festive look. There is a list of optional mix-ins after the recipe below.

    Crinkle Cookies Recipe (or any cake mix flavor you prefer!)


    • 1 - box 15.25 ounces of any brand of lemon cake mix
    • 1 8-ounce tub of frozen and thawed whipped topping
    • 2 eggs
    • powdered sugar around 2 cups
    • see the list of mix-ins below

    Easy Instructions:

    1. Mix the cake mix (any of your choice in flavor) with the eggs and thawed whipped topping. Freeze this dough wrapped for 1 hour.
    2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
    3. Roll the dough into balls then in powdered sugar place on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
    4. The cookies should be stored in an airtight container after cooling.

    Optional: (mix in 1 cup of the following:)

    1. chocolate chips
    2. coconut
    3. nuts
    4. raisins
    5. craisins
    6. dried fruits
    7. maraschino cherries
    8. chopped candy bars
    9. funfetti sprinkles
