    Pumpkin Spice Waffles: Festive Fall Delight

    A fall delight bursting with pumpkin flavors and comforting spices to start your day. These waffles are light and delicious all made from scratch and a wonderful addition to any waffle lover regarding recipes. They are perfect to make during the holiday for a festive treat.     Pumpkin Spice Waffles

    • 8 tablespoons butter, melted, divided
    • 1-1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 tablespoon baking powder
    • 2 tablespoons pumpkin pie spice
    • pinch of salt
    • 2 eggs
    • 3/4 cup milk
    • 1/4 cup maple syrup
    • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
    • Optional Serving: whipped butter, maple syrup, whipped cream, chopped pecans or pumpkin seeds toasted, cinnamon sugar mixture

    Directions:

    1. Melt the butter and cool.
    2. Mix the flour, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and pinch of salt in a bowl then set that aside.
    3. Place the milk, melted cooled butter, eggs, syrup, sugar, and puree in a mixing bowl and whisk together evenly.
    4. Slowly blend the flour mixture into the pumpkin mixture just until combined, do not over-mix.
    5. Heat the waffle iron and spray with cooking spray oil.
    6. Follow the instructions in your manual for directions to your waffle iron.
    7. Serve with our suggestions above.
