    Delicious Pumpkin Spice Donuts for Fall

    We look forward to the smell of cinnamon and spice when fall arrives. The aroma of baking makes your mouth water in anticipation and I never can wait for one to cool to eat these delicious donuts. If you're a pumpkin lover, these will be a favorite treat frosted or unfrosted.

    Shopping List:

    • 1 cup AP flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 3/4 cup of sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
    • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
    • 1/4 teaspoon clove
    • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
    • 2 large eggs
    • 3/4 cup pumpkin puree
    • Garnish:
    • melted butter
    • cinnamon sugar mixture
    • (if you prefer frosting make a thin glaze with powdered sugar, pure vanilla, a dash of pumpkin spice, and a little water added just until free flowing.)

    Directions:

    1. Grease two donut pans preheat the oven and bake at 350 degrees for 18 minutes.
    2. Whisk the flour baking powder salt and spice in a bowl and set aside.
    3. In a clean bowl combine the eggs, and oil and whisk until smooth.
    4. Add in and whisk the sugar and the puree.
    5. Add and combine the two mixtures until smooth.
    6. Spray your donut pans, fill and bake for 16 to 18 minutes.
    7. Cool for 5 minutes before removing to wire rack.
    8. When cool dip in a thin powdered sugar glaze and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar if desired.
    9. Optional Garnishes: roll into sifted powdered sugar, or just into cinnamon sugar
