One killed, others injured in Fairview crash
A Bowling Green woman was killed and several others were injured in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 68-KY 80 near Fairview Monday afternoon. The crash occurred in the area of 68-80 near Vaughns Grove-Litte River Road just before 5 p.m. and with at least one occupant ejected. One victim, 21-year-old Laqway Matthews of Bowling Green, was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, where she would die of her injuries.

Kentucky doctor sentenced to prison for illegally prescribing drugs to undercover patients
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WCHS) — A Pikeville, Kentucky, doctor was sentenced to prison Monday for illegally prescribing amphetamines to undercover patients, federal prosecutors said. Jason Stamper, 52, was sentenced to 32 months in prison after pleading guilty in a 2022 investigation where he prescribed amphetamines to multiple patients without a legitimate medical purpose, a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky said.
