Woman charged with trafficking drugs after running stop sign
ORANGE PARK – A traffic stop for running a stop sign escalated into a trafficking methamphetamine charge for an Orange Park woman on June 27. According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Brandy Kay O’Brien, 47, was arrested after K-9 Odin alerted deputies of the likely presence of illegal narcotics inside her car after she was pulled over when a deputy said she didn’t stop while turning right onto Peoria Road.

ORANGE PARK, Fla. — A man was shot multiple times and killed at an Orange Park apartment complex Friday evening, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office. CCSO said Darious Beals, 29, was the victim who was shot in the parking lot at Laurel Grove apartments. The agency believes he was "specifically targeted" in the shooting. Deputies said the shooting occurred at 11:10 p.m.
