Nashville Artist Heads to Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival [Audio]
He's written songs for Kelsea Ballerini, Dylan Scott, and even the late great Toby Keith. Meet Lance Carpenter at the Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival. Music fans will be able to get their fill of tunes and perhaps even learn a thing or two at an upcoming event in the tri-state area. The Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival is happening from Thursday, July 24, 2024, through the following Saturday, July 27th. The event will feature four nights of intimate, acoustic live performances by songwriters from all over the region in downtown Henderson. Performances will take place at two locations, including Rookies Sports Bar & Grill, where one Nashville recording artist will hit the stage for two nights of entertainment.

Rogers Badgett Sr. Foundation of Madisonville, Kentucky, have made a significant multi-year commitment to the College of Education and Human Services through the Murray State University Foundation. The Badgett family has a rich history of supporting education throughout western Kentucky and began their support of Murray State more than 15 years ago. The family honors the legacy of Mr. Rogers Badgett, who established the Badgett Construction Company and Badgett Mine Stripping Corporation (1943-1976). Mr. Badgett was known as a “Working Man’s Man”; however, he understood the need for formal education and support. Throughout his life, he found many ways to encourage and promote the importance of higher education.
Former Kentucky football standout Randall Cobb announces next career move
After a terrific playing career, former Kentucky star Randall Cobb has hung up his cleats. The 13-year veteran will be retiring and already has his next venture planned out. On Thursday it was announced that Cobb would be joining the SEC Network as a studio analyst for the upcoming season.
