Severe storms suddenly roll into Big Canoe Tuesday leaving trees down and roads blocked
Storms packing winds as high as 55 mph slammed Big Canoe Tuesday evening. Trees fell and blocked major roads. Brave people with chainsaws quickly did their best to clear the roads. Reports from residents of Sanderlin Mountain say Sanderlin Mountain Drive was blocked by trees downed from the storm. Deer Run provided a back way out, but can be tricky in the dark. As of 10:45 p.m. Tuesday night Public Service was working to clear the road.
