Flint city attorney stepping down, interim replacement named
FLINT, MI - The city of Flint has announced that City Attorney William Kim will be stepping down, with his resignation effective July 26. “I wish Attorney Kim the very best in his new position and thank him for his service to the residents of Flint,” Mayor Sheldon Neeley said in a news release. “Mr. Kim has helped guide the city of Flint through turbulent times over the past nine years, and I congratulate him on the next step in his career.
Missing Michigan Teen Found on Miami Live Stream
One of the biggest miracles on social media just happened after a missing 17-year-old from Michigan popped up on a live stream in Miami, Florida. Troy Coleman, a teen from Mt. Morris Township went missing from Flint, Michigan on May 21st. To make matters worse, Coleman is schizophrenic, which could put him in more danger without his medication. The missing person case was allegedly becoming a death investigation after he was missing for a couple of months with no leads to his whereabouts. Then like magic, many strange moments came together thanks to social media.
Flint won’t charge for downtown parking until meters are replaced
FLINT, MI -- Parking at metered spots in downtown Flint is free until the Downtown Development Authority replaces existing meters with a new system later this summer. The DDA announced the plan to replace the city’s on-street, metered parking in a newsletter this week, saying the agency won’t continue using the existing Flint AutoPark meters installed in 2019.
