MASON CITY, Iowa – Someone was killed Wednesday evening when they were hit by an SUV in Cerro Gordo County. The Iowa State Patrol says Jade Danielle Quam, 17 of Mason City, was driving a 2004 GMC Envoy south on Plymouth Road when the SUV struck Jennifer Dawn Buls-Vrba, 42 of Mason City, in the 1500 block at around 6:12 pm.
