Landus expects small 'green' ammonia plants to make big dent in farmers' fertilizer costs
Talus Renewables plans to build nearly 80 modular "green" ammonia plants in Iowa and other Midwestern states over the next two years. INDIANOLA, Iowa — KCCI viewer Gentry Burton shared photos of her adult children kayaking down a flooded Indianola street this week. The Warren County town saw about 5 inches of rain Tuesday as strong storms pushed across the state. The storms prompted several tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings, as well as flooding and flash flooding in a number of areas.

Rainfall totals & tornadoes from the July 1st storms
On the night of July 1 into July 2, several rounds of heavy rain moved across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. While most of us picked up on some rain, there was a corridor of very heavy rainfall amounts from Seward to Sarpy County to Des Moines. In this band, some locations received over 6" of rain, leading to significant flooding. One of the hardest hit areas was South Bend in Cass County, where a Flash Flood Emergency was issued for homes that were flooded.
