Claire Pellett and Jack Brahms Crowned Queen and King of the 2024 Cass County Fair
(Atlantic) The Crowning of the King and Queen capped off Day One of the activities at the 75th Annual Cass County Fair on Thursday evening. Claire Pellett, a member of the Pymosa 4H club, was crowned Queen and will represent Cass County at the 2024 Iowa State Fair. Jack Brahms, a Union Leaders 4H Club member, is the 2024 Cass County Fair King.
Iowa mother, father accused of leaving 4-year-old with relatives, telling them to keep child in 'makeshift cage'
An Iowa mother and father were arrested for neglect and abandonment of a dependent person and child endangerment after a 4-year-old was found in "a mixture of both human and animal feces," according to Fremont County deputies. On Thursday, deputies found the 4-year-old inside of a residence in Hamburg, Iowa.
Sidney Rodeo rolls into town for 101st time
(Sidney) -- A tradition more than a century long returns to Sidney next week. The 101st Annual Sidney Iowa Rodeo takes place July 30th through August 3rd at the rodeo grounds on the west side of Sidney. From mutton busting to bullfighting, the rodeo brings an array of family-friendly fun. Jann and Lyle Tackett joined the KMA "Morning Show" recently to preview this year's rendition. Lyle says the bullfighters come from across the country and attendees feature new and familiar faces.
