Jasper County Sheriff's Office Looking For A Suspicious Vehicle
(Jasper Co, IA) -- The Jasper County Sheriff's Office is looking for the driver of a black pickup truck with Ohio plates. Jasper County Sheriff's Deputy Brad Shutts says the driver was seen acting suspiciously and repeatedly passed another car on Highway 14 heading toward Newton on July 19 at around 5:30 p.m.
Wright County man sent to federal prison for gun crime
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – A Wright County man is going to federal prison for illegal gun possession. Michael Dean Hanus Jr., 45 of Clarion, pleaded guilty in federal court to possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Hanus Jr. has a prior conviction of Interference with Official Acts – Dangerous Weapon, which banned him from possessing a firearm.
