Keystone and Penn State wrestlers team up to host youth wrestling clinic
LA PLUME, Pa. — Youth camps and clinics are a summer time staple. Keystone college senior, Quinton Frampton, came up with the idea of hosting a youth wrestling clinic at the college as a way to give back to the kids, and as a way to connect with an old friend.
Penn State Teamsters Ratify New 4-Year Contract
Members of the union representing about 2,500 technical service employees at Penn State voted overwhelmingly to ratify a new contract with the university. Nearly a month after the Teamsters Local 8 bargaining committee reached a tentative agreement with the university, members voted between July 22-26 by a margin of 1,569 to 176 to ratify the four-year deal. Employees represented by the union will receive wage increases totaling 20% over the life of the contract, which is retroactive to July 1 and runs through June 30, 2028. Louisiana fugitive arrested in Lock Haven
Lock Haven, Pa. — Police arrested a Louisiana fugitive in Clinton County. Christopher James Kelley, 32, was stopped by police for a traffic violation on the 200 block of Woodward Ave, in Lock Haven. Kelley was found to have an outstanding warrant for a drug offense out of the Jefferson Parrish Sheriff's Office in Louisiana, according to a release from the Woodward Township Police Department. Kelley was taken into custody, charged for being a fugitive from justice, according to the release from Woodward Township Police Department. He is currently at the Clinton County Correctional Facility awaiting extradition to Louisiana.
