Art Alley Gallery opens in Sisseton with local artists showcased
Art Alley Gallery was an art and design idea that’s focus was to repurpose a short alleyway between the Stavig building and First Savings Bank. The idea of Art Alley Gallery sprang up last year between a number of local artists, all of whom are members of The New Old artist collective.

32,820 Blizzards for 2024 Miracle Treat Day
32,820 blizzards were sold this year in Madison, for the 19th Annual Children’s Miracle Treat Day. As in years past, the event at the Dairy Queen in Madison included a full day of fun and games, and raised money for the Children’s Miracle Network. In addition to the proceeds from every blizzard sold going to CMN, two local families added special donations. The Kevin and Lauri Minnaert family donated one dollar to CMN for every blizzard sold from 12-to-1pm Thursday. The Gitzen family in Madison also did a match from 5-6pm.
