Global IT outage has widespread impacts on city and state agencies in the Triangle
RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — City and state agencies are working to get up and running after experiencing a range of interruptions with their services due to the global IT outage. The NCDMV said all of its driver licenses offices are back open after being impacted by the outage. Most plate agencies, which are privately run and managed by the DMV will remain closed until Monday. A spokesperson said the DMV will try to contact people who had appointments this morning to reschedule.

Area towns receive help with water projects
Several area towns will receive drinking water and wastewater funding after projects were approved in Tuesday’s State Water Infrastructure Authority Meeting in Raleigh. The announcement of $235 million in drinking water and wastewater infrastructure funding and stormwater grants was made by Gov. Roy Cooper on Wednesday. Real-time updates: Heavy rain and thunderstorms ending in the Triad, more rain likely Sunday
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A day of heavy rain and storms may help drought stricken areas. Dry ground conditions led to excessive runoff and flash flooding in the Triad Saturday evening in Guilford County. Local creeks and streams began rising above their banks creating localized flooding in addition storms causing flash flooding of urban areas. Buffalo Creek at Pamona in Greensboro, rose to 11.57 feet and reached minor flooding levels before cresting. Creek levels in Guilford County dropped below action stage after 7 p.m. as the storms moved east toward the Triangle.

Three people charged with murder of Bladen Co. man who went missing three years ago
SCOTLAND COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - Three people from Scotland County have been arrested for the 2021 murder of Brandon McDonald of Bladen County.
