Many Clemson fans are probably pumped up for the return of the iconic EA Sports college football video game, and rightfully so.
The highly anticipated EA Sports College Football 25 game is set to release on July 19, and it’s the first college football game from EA Sports to be released since 2013.
Clemson is featured prominently in the official trailer that was released last month for the upcoming game, showing Howard’s Rock and the Tigers running down the hill in Death Valley.
However, Tiger fans surely won’t like this particular aspect of the game – the “toughest places to play.”
The game’s development team put together a list of the top 25 toughest places to play in college football, and Clemson did not make the top 10.
Despite the fact that Clemson had a stretch where it went 62-1 at home from 2013-22 — including a streak of 40 straight wins — Clemson/Memorial Stadium came in at No. 12 on the aforementioned EA Sports list.
That ranking, understandably, won’t make Tiger fans happy.
Here’s the full list of the top 25 toughest places to play according to EA Sports, and how they came up with the list, per the official EA Sports website :
We laid out the significant impact that Homefield Advantage can have on the outcome of games in EA SPORTS College Football 25 during our Gameplay Deep Dive Campus Huddle . Audio and in-game modifiers such as blurred routes, incorrect play art, confidence and composure affects, and screen shaking are some of the immersive impacts away teams and players will be forced to contend with.
But not all Homefield Advantages are created equal. The Development Team worked to compile a list of the Top 25 Toughest Places to Play, factoring in historical stats such as home winning %, home game attendance, active home winning streaks, team prestige, and more.
Rankings are subject to change in future updates.
