Although he didn’t hear his name called in the 2024 NBA Draft this week, Joe Girard III is getting an opportunity with this NBA team.

Clemson Basketball announced via social media Friday evening that Girard will sign an NBA summer league deal with the Toronto Raptors.

A sharpshooting guard, Girard spent one season at Clemson in 2023-24 following four years at Syracuse.

Girard played a key role in helping Clemson advance to the Elite 8 for the first time since 1980, averaging 15.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 43 percent from the field, 41.3 percent from 3-point range and 93.5 percent from the free-throw line in 2023-24.

A native of Glens Falls, N.Y., Girard finished his five-year college career with 2,196 career points (18th all-time in ACC history) and 402 made 3-pointers (third all-time in ACC) while shooting 88.2 percent from the free-throw line (third all-time in ACC).

Of course, PJ Hall is also getting his NBA shot. The former Clemson star went undrafted but signed a two-way contract with the Denver Nuggets , with whom Hall will now reunite with Hunter Tyson in the Nuggets organization.
