Since Dabo Swinney started hosting summer officials back in 2022, the month of June has been a busy one when it comes to Clemson recruiting.

The Tigers have hosted official visits the first weekend of June in each of the past three summers. Last June and the one before that, Clemson picked up a number of commitments throughout the month coming off that weekend, but this summer has been a little different.

The Tigers did pick up two bigtime verbal pledges from 4-star corner Graceson Littleton and 4-star offensive lineman Rowan Byrne in the immediate aftermath of the big official visit weekend, but so far that has been it. Most of the recruits on hand that weekend chose to keep taking visits in an effort to make the most informed decision.

While some of those targets are now off the board due to having committed elsewhere, many still remain uncommitted. Four of those players are set to announce next week.

Looking to to take two more to go along with 4-star Ju Ju Preston, who committed late last year, Clemson only invited two wide receivers to the big official visit weekend, and both are set to announce in the coming days. 4-star Cortez Mills will announce on July 1, with Oklahoma and LSU, as well as the Tigers viewed as the three finalists. Mills also took summer officials to Nebraska and Florida. Mills is ranked as high as No. 69 overall.

4-star Samari Reed will announce a commitment on July 3. Clemson, Penn State, Kentucky, West Virginia and Ole Miss have been named the finalists. Reed, who is ranked as high as No. 149 overall, was the other wideout on hand for the big official visit weekend.

Clemson extended a new receiver offer this week as well, with 4-star Dillon Alfred announcing one from the Tigers on Monday. Alfred, who was at one time committed to Ole Miss, took a spring visit to Clemson, then worked out at camp the first week of June. While he does not have a commitment date set yet, he told TCI in a recent interview that he plans to announce before August and that he will also be on hand for the All-In Cookout next month.

4-star OL Hardy Watts will announce his commitment on July 1 at noon. Watts is down to Clemson, Michigan and Wisconsin, with the Tigers and Wolverines being viewed as the two favorites. Clemson has already secured verbal pledges from 4-stars Brayden Jacobs and Easton Ware, to go along with Byrne and are looking to add at least one more player at the position, possibly even two.

Mal Waldred, Max Buchanan and Mario Nash Jr. are all offensive linemen that attended the official visit weekend, but all three have already committed elsewhere during the month of June. The Tigers are still waiting on a decision from 5-star David Sanders as well.

4-star corner Gregory “Zae” Thomas will announce on Sunday, with Clemson and Florida State being the two finalists. Thomas took officials to both schools.
