Another one of Clemson’s offensive line targets has come off the the board.

4-star target Hardy Watts (Dexter, Brookline, MA) announced a commitment to Wisconsin on Monday, choosing the Badgers over other finalists, Clemson and Michigan.

The 6-foot-6, 290-pound blue-chip talent was one of several offensive linemen to take officials to Clemson in early June, although Watts was not on hand for the big official visit weekend. He would come in on that Sunday and stay through Tuesday morning.

“I had a meeting with almost every member of the staff and program. I had a meeting with the president of the university,” Watts told The Clemson Insider. “It was an honor and great time. Went to coach Swinney’s house, and got to go to coach Luke’s house. It was a great, great, really awesome weekend. The hospitality that I experienced was unlike any experience before. Just really felt like a family.”

Watts is ranked as high as No. 110 overall and is widely considered one of the ten-best interior linemen in the class.

While the Tigers already have three offensive linemen committed in the 2025 class in 4-stars Easton Ware, Brayden Jacobs and Rowan Byrne, the coaching staff has still been looking to add one, or possibly even two more players at the position.

Only one offensive lineman that took an official to Clemson remains uncommitted, 5-star David Sanders, who is expected to announce at some point before the summer is over.

A limited number of signed footballs from Clemson’s 2022 class are still available. Get yours while supplies last! Visit Clemson Variety & Frame or purchase online!
