TCI Recruiting Roundup: What's Left for Clemson in 2025 Class?

June has not been as kind to Clemson on the recruiting trail as most had hoped for.

While the Tigers do already have 13 verbal pledges, only two of those came from recruits that attended the big official visit weekend in early June. Those numbers are noticeably down from the the past two years when Dabo Swinney started hosting summer officials.

However, the early signing period is still more than five months away, meaning there is still time to address the remaining needs. Here we take a look at what those needs are.

Quarterback: Clemson is done here, as 4-star Blake Hebert has been committed for quite some time.

Running Back: The Tigers are also done here, with 4-star Gideon Davidson set to be the only take.

Wide Receiver: 4-star Ju Ju Preston committed late last year, and the staff is expected to take as many as two more, despite 4-star Cortez Mills coming off the board on Monday . 4-stars Samari Reed and Dillon Alfred are the two top targets on the board right now. Reed will announce this week, while Alfred has talked about announcing sometime before August.

Tight End: Barring something unexpected, 4-star Logan Brooking will be the only player taken at the position in the 2025 class.

Offensive Line: Clemson has commitments from three already, with 4-stars Brayden Jacobs, Easton Ware and Rowan Byrne already on board. The staff had been looking to add one, or maybe even two more, depending on how things played out this summer. However, after missing on every offensive linemen but one that was on hand for the big official weekend, it’s time to regroup and see what’s left out there. While 5-star David Sanders has yet to announce a decision, he is also expected to land elsewhere. It might be after the start of the season, before we see any kind of movement, but it is safe to assume the Tigers will still try and add one more to the class.

Defensive Tackle: 4-star Amare Adams is the only interior defensive lineman committed so far. 5-star Elijah Griffin and 4-star Walter Mathis are two targets that remain uncommitted but Clemson isn’t expected to land either. Still expect one more to be added at some point.

Defensive End: 4-stars Isaiah Campbell and Ari Watford are already committed, with the staff still waiting on a decision from 4-star Bryce Davis. Georgia is considered the favorite, and if that is where he ends up, the Tigers might be done here. It’s also worth noting that while Campbell was recruited as a defensive end, he is a guy that could end up sliding inside.

Linebacker: The number here is one and 4-star Kamar Archie is the only player at the position to be invited to the big official visit weekend. He is expected to make a summer decision. However, 4-star Logan Anderson earned himself an offer with an impressive showing at camp and has told TCI that he plans on being at the Cookout later this month. Is it first come, first serve, or would the staff consider taking both?

Safety: With 4-star Tae Harris already committed, there is only one spot left. 4-star Jordan Young is the top target, was on hand for the big official visit weekend and the guy the staff is still waiting on. He is set to announce on his birthday of October 12.

Cornerback: After missing on 4-star Zae Harris on Sunday, it is very likely that Clemson is done at corner. 4-star Graceson Littleton committed just after the official visit weekend and is likely to be the only corner take as things stand today.
