The next No. 42 for Clemson at the defensive tackle position is this highly touted true freshman.

After Clemson legend Christian Wilkins donned those digits during his stellar career as a Tiger, the No. 42 will now be sported by another big-time talent in Hevin Brown-Shuler.

Brown-Shuler enrolled at Clemson this summer after signing with Dabo Swinney’s program in December.

The 6-foot-5, 290-pound Atlanta native and former top-150 national prospect shared a photo on social media of his new Clemson locker with the No. 42 by his name:

Brown-Shuler, a high school All-American Bowl selection, was a four-star recruit and a member of the Rivals250. He was one of five finalists for All-American Bowl Man of the Year and ranked by Rivals as the nation’s No. 112 overall player and the country’s sixth-best defensive tackle in the 2024 recruiting class.

A four-time all-region and all-state honoree and two-year team captain, Brown-Shuler was four-year starter at Pace Academy, where he recorded 86 total tackles (42 solo), 12 tackles for loss and 4.5 of which as a senior in 2023.

Now, Brown-Shuler is the first defensive tackle to wear the No. 42 for Clemson since Wilkins moved on to the NFL after helping the Tigers win the 2018 national title.
