Erik Bakich and the Clemson baseball program picked up a new transfer commitment on Thursday.

Luke Kissenberth, a transfer pitcher from The Citadel, announced his commitment to the Tigers via social media.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound righthander entered the transfer portal as a graduate transfer in early June.

Kissenberth spent four years at The Citadel, playing three seasons after sitting out the 2021 season as a redshirt.

In 2024, Kissenberth appeared in 26 games (one start) and had an 0-2 record with a 5.97 ERA, 48 strikeouts, 28 walks, 25 hits allowed and a .194 opponents’ batting average in 37.2 innings pitched.

Prior to this past season, Kissenberth had pitched only 3.2 total innings in five games out of the bullpen over the previous two seasons.

A native of Simpsonville, S.C., Kissenberth played at Southside Christian High School, where he earned second-team all-region honors as a junior. He struck out 17 over nine innings during a shortened senior season and tossed a five-inning no-hitter in his final prep outing while also hitting .416 at the plate.

Kissenberth comes from an athletic family, as his dad was a linebacker at The Citadel, his mother played softball at Anderson University and his brother played football at Presbyterian.
