A pair of former Clemson standouts and teammates balled out during NBA Summer League action Thursday.

Hunter Tyson and PJ Hall, who are now reunited as teammates with the Denver Nuggets, both shined during the Nuggets’ 86-71 win over the Indiana Pacers in an NBA Summer League contest in Las Vegas.

Tyson scored a game-high 23 points while going 8-of-18 from the field, 3-of-6 from 3-point range and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. He also chipped in three rebounds, one assist and a steal.

Hall, meanwhile, posted a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds, to go with three assists and two blocks – both of which you can see below:

Hall, who spent the last four seasons at Clemson, drew praise from analyst Seth Greenberg during ESPN’s broadcast of the game:

Hall wasn’t picked in the 2024 NBA Draft but instead signed a two-way contract with the Nuggets, thus joining Tyson, who was selected with the 37th pick in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft.

Hall became just the 14th player in Clemson Men’s Basketball history to earn first-team All-ACC honors this past season, when he helped lead the Tigers to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. The 6-foot-11, 238-pound post player averaged 18.3 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in 2023-’24, on his way to Associated Press All-American Honorable Mention honors.

Tyson likewise earned first-team All-ACC honors in his final season at Clemson after putting together a career year for the Tigers in 2022-23, when he averaged 15.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game.

In his first professional season last year, Tyson played at a high level with the Grand Rapids Gold, a member of the NBA G League that is affiliated with the Nuggets. The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 23.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game while showing off his shooting prowess with a 40.8 percent 3-point percentage and 83.3 percent free-throw clip.

Tyson also played in 18 regular season games with the Nuggets, making eight of his 20 shots from the field while collecting nine total rebounds, and he appeared in three playoff games as well.
