Zac Foster’s stock has soared of late.

The 4-star shooting guard, out of Woodward Academy (GA), has rapidly risen up the recruiting ranks and currently sits at No. 68 overall per 247 Sports. The recruiting service also ranks him No. 13 among all players at his position.

After taking an unofficial visit for a game last season, Foster picked up an offer from the Tigers earlier this month.

“It’s just a winning culture with a great coach,” Foster told The Clemson Insider. “It’s just a winning program. Something I would just want to be around as a player.”

The 6-foot-3 prospect and rising high school senior sees himself as a good fit with the Tigers.

“I feel like I’d be able to play-make,” Foster said. “Then with my shooting ability, I feel like using those ball screens that they like to run, I’d be able to get downhill, shoot the three and get other people involved.”

Virginia Tech, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech and Cincinnati are some of the other schools that Foster is currently hearing from the most, and playing in the ACC is something that intrigues the elite-level talent.

“It’s in the ACC, so it’s a great conference,” Foster added. “The coaches have been on me a lot so it’s just making me feel good about my play and what I can do there as a player.”

Foster currently has no definitive timeline for making a decision. He wants to get through the process and take more visits, as he looks for a school that is capable of helping him develop into a player that can play at the professional level.

“A school that just obviously sees me playing and wants to develop me as a player so that I’m just getting better and be able to make it to the next level,” Foster said. “And then a winning culture, which they obviously have.”

While development and culture will play critical parts, so will early playing time. Foster isn’t necessarily looking to start as a freshman, but he would like to get some experience in an effort have him better prepared heading into his sophomore campaign.

“Just getting some experience,” he said. “I know freshmen don’t play like 30 minutes, but at least see the floor for that next year. Just be confident out there to build myself up.”
