Dabo Swinney met with the media Thursday as Clemson opens fall camp.

The Tigers’ head coach gave an update on the status of his team from a health standpoint heading into camp.

“This is probably the best we’ve been in a long time (from an injury standpoint) going out to day one,” he said. “We’re ready to roll.”

Swinney added that redshirt sophomore cornerback Myles Oliver is out and the Tigers have a couple of players in green (limited contact) jerseys, though that’s pretty much the extent of things right now as far as injuries are concerned.

“Myles Oliver, who’s been out – he tore his ACL last year – he’s one,” Swinney said. “But I think we’ve got two guys in green maybe that are just kind of little ticky tack things that they’re kind of pushing through coming out of training. But we’re in a good spot right now.”

Following fall camp, Clemson will begin the 2024 season with its highly anticipated non-conference matchup against Georgia on Saturday, Aug. 31 in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium (12 p.m., ABC).
