CLEMSON — Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media Thursday before the Tigers opened fall camp at the Allen Reeves Football Complex.

Swinney said he just talked about his quarterbacks with his coaches and with his team before meeting with the media. He said he talked about what the quarterback rules are and what they need to know when the quarterback is in the pocket or when he scrambles.

Swinney also discussed what the depth at quarterback will be behind starter Cade Klubnik going into fall camp.

“We have four quarterbacks that can play for us,” Swinney said. “I am super excited about that. It has been a while since we have had four guys that are ready to play. They can function and do everything you need them to do.

“They have different strengths and weaknesses and all of that, but they can functionally put us in position to win and Paul Tyson being are fourth guy and players coach, if you will. He can go out there and do it in his sleep.”

Swinney continued by saying Christopher Vizzina will begin camp as the No. 2, followed by Trent Pearman and then Tyson.

“We have a good group. We have a good room. I have a lot of confidence in those guys… We will see how it all shakes out,” Swinney said.

Clemson opens the season against SEC favorite Georgia on Aug. 31 in Atlanta, as part of the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Classic.
