CLEMSON — The Clemson Tigers hit the practice fields again Friday afternoon for day two of camp. There was plenty of energy as the team practiced in the sun.

Here are some observations of the offense from Friday’s practice:

    • “Ice Ice Baby” cranked up during the warmups. The Tigers appear to have a new playlist this year.
    • As the team broke from the huddle after stretching, quarterback Cade Klubnik beat everyone to the end zone for the first drill. He continued to have a lot of energy during day two and continues to show great leadership at every opportunity.
    • Clemson has some new clocks on field level. They are huge and can’t be missed.
    • On Thursday, we mentioned where the coaches who can now help with practice are working. Andrew Zow is helping with the running backs.
    • New offensive line coach Matt Luke is fun to watch and it is easy to see why the players love him. A couple of things that he said during one drill Friday were “you know every time you drop your hands what will happen,” and “you have a mouthpiece so put it in.”
    • Watching the OL drills, it looks like right now they have Walker Parks running at left guard and Marcus Tate at right guard.
    • Between drills, Trent Pearman and Klubnik were throwing the ball around trying to make one-handed catches. When Klubnik made his, he gave out a huge yell.
    • Freshman receiver Bryant Wesco was one of the guys they had back in the punt return drill.
    • During one drill, head coach Dabo Swinney pulled redshirt junior receiver Troy Stellato to the side to give him some coaching. Stellato then got back in line and Swinney called him back for more conversation.
    • On day one, we saw Swinney pull freshman receiver TJ Moore to the side a couple of times for some additional coaching. On Friday, he did the same at one point with Wesco.
    • Swinney interrupted one of the receiver drills. He showed the group exactly how they should do the drill and took up about half of the period giving his coaching.
    • Freshman running back David Eziomume continues to impress.  During one drill he dropped a pass but came right back and made the next one. He makes great cuts.
    • Tajh Boyd showed off his arm getting some throws in during one drill. He still has it and is one of the best on the long balls.
    • It looked like redshirt freshman running back Jay Haynes was running third team in one of the drills behind Phil Mafah and Keith Adams. Like Thursday, Adams was doing the drills we saw even though he was in a green (limited contact) jersey.
    • It was hard to tell it was only TJ Moore’s second practice. He looked very comfortable.
