A driver is in custody after leading authorities on a chase through multiple counties.It started in Dunn when U.S. Marshals tried to pull a Chevrolet Camaro. The suspect kept driving, leading authorities on a chase into Harnett County and then Cumberland County.The chase ended in Godwin where the suspect bailed and ran from the car.The driver was caught and taken into custody. Former Tiger suffers torn ACL in the NFL
A former Clemson cornerback has torn his ACL. According to head coach Sean McVay, Los Angeles Rams cornerback Derion Kendrick has suffered a torn ACL during practice Wednesday. The expectation is he will miss the 2024 season and get surgery in the next couple weeks. “Unfortunately, Derion Kendrick did get his ACL yesterday,” Rams head coach Sean McVay saiddThursday. “I’m really proud of the way that he’s worked. He’s continued to really mature in a lot of different ways and if there’s one thing you know about this guy, he can handle setbacks. He’ll have a lot of support from his teammates and coaches, and he’ll attack the rehab.” The 23 year old will look to recover and comeback stronger in 2025. A judge in Pickens County next month will hear pre-trial motions in the case of Kimberly Parnell, Lakeview Apartments vs. city of Clemson, CS Acquisition LLC and Keowee Trail LLC. The plaintiffs have challenged the formula that Clemson used to approve the HUB project that they say will mean a seven-story apartment complex with retail spaces on the first floor. It’s a case that continues to divide the male members of the city council from the female members. In the pre-trial motions, to be heard Thursday, August 8, lawyers for the defendants CS Acquisition and the city of Clemson will ask Judge G-D Morgan to throw out plaintiffs’ request for an injunction to stop the development. The defense claims the plaintiffs bid for an injunction relies on a mistaken interpretation of law.
