Union Township is Awarded International Reaccreditation Status

Union Township in Clermont County, Ohio has received Accredited Agency status with the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) for meeting the criteria established through the CFAI’s voluntary self-assessment and accreditation program. This recognition from the CFAI and Center for Public Safety Excellence highlights the department’s commitment to providing the highest quality of service and the proactive dedication to enhancing the safety and well-being of our community.

The Union Township Fire Department has proudly served the community since its establishment in 1990. With a growing population of approximately 50,000 residents and a thriving business sector, the department’s commitment to safety and emergency response has led to the expansion of six strategically located fire stations. The Township’s dedicated team of full-time cross-trained firefighters and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel is available 24/7, ensuring the highest level of protection and care for residents and businesses.

In recognition of our unwavering dedication to excellence, the department has maintained accreditation from the Commission on Fire Accreditation International since 2004.

CFAI is dedicated to assisting the fire and emergency service agencies throughout the world in achieving excellence through self-assessment and accreditation to provide continuous quality improvement and the enhancement of service delivery to their communities. The CFAI process provides an agency with an improvement model to assess their service delivery and performance internally, and then works with a team of peers from other agencies to verify and validate their completed self-assessment.
